What are the mechanics behind this? I understand that the coffee maker no longer needs to heat the water, but why does it go so much faster?
I was looking for more of the mechanics of how the water is heated in a drip coffee maker. Why would it be faster? How would the heating element know that the water is already heated. Does it have a temperature indicator?
I am the only one in our house that likes coffee. And the only peculator we have is HUGE. So is it possible to microwave coffee, like you would with hot chocolate or tea? Cause if you can, that would be awesome! =]
I looked all over net for a copy of the real thing since starbucks caters to the wealthy in the pocket people. I tried it once on a gift card and am hooked but refuse to pay their price. Any one know a very close copy?

I have some organic coffee beans that I bought from Costco earlier in the week, they have a very fresh aroma to them. I was wondering if I can forego brewing coffee in a coffeemaker and just grind the coffee, pour hot water and then, after drinking the coffee, eat the grinds at the bottom of the cup?
