It sounded like bull to me, but thought I´d ask…They said it causes problems specifically for networks.

I have an espresso/cappuccino coffee maker.. and I was wondering.. is there a way to make black coffee using cappuccino maker? like not strong espresso shots but just coffee like the one you get from filter coffee makers? and any other ideas? it just takes to long to forth the milk and tap the coffee in the coffee holder..

I’ve noticed that some gas stations have pennies on the hot plates of their coffee makers. Is there some kind of chemical purpose to this? Does it keep the hot plate from overheating/warping/losing its teflon coating? If so, should I do it at home?

I’m seeing if "homemade" organic fertilizer made of food waste could substitue for commercial fertilizer.
It’s winter so, I’m planting my radishes inside.
I’m using bananas for potassium
beans for nitrogen
and mushrooms for phosporous

and maybe coffee grounds as SEPARATE experiment

I have a question about my "homemade" fertilizer. Since plants need 3 primary nutrients, I don’t know what the ratio for the 3 primary nutrients should be? Should they all be the same?

How often should I apply my homemade one? How much should I apply each time?

I wasn’t sure about this because the commercial one comes with directions so….

About the coffee grounds…
are coffee grounds the moist thing after you make the coffee or is it the thing before I make coffee?

I have heard a rumor that in order to make the hottest coffee you must poor in very cold water. If you poor in room temperature water the coffee will in fact be cooler. This seems counter-intuitive to me but i have an elementary understanding of coffee makers at best.

Call me an immature teenager, but i hate structure, routines, and suck at making commitments.
But… i think it’d be absoloutley lovely to change a few of the rules, and give the united states complete freedom, i know this won’t be happening anytime soon, and some people say it’d cause "chaos" & what not, and i agree to a certain extent, but i also prefer imagination versus reality,
so let’s all pretend, and use our imaginations, what would you do to the country with complete freedom? or even if you could just create a small community with no rules or obligations, i guess as an "exception" of rules to the entire u.s.

I personally would follow some transcendentalist points of view, and some "hippie "morals.
You see, at 15, I’m kinda tired of society. I want to change the world, but nobody else wants to.
I’d create a place where people could be allowed to emancipate themselves from the mainstream society… most people choose to be part of said society, but in this community, it would not be forced upon. Mainstream society can often mean misery, and this community would be completely different, a place to relax, and a place to get in tact with your true self- a place to have 100 percent freedom.
There would be structure to a certain extent, but there would be a majority of freedom to do whatever, and a sense of community, where nobody was strangers, everyone got along. Happiness, peace, love and positivity would be incredibly important. Nudity, Drugs, and free love would be normal. There would be some structure, and organic coffee shops, smoke shops, and lounges with big comfy tie-dye bean bags to just ‘chill’ in, there would be domes like the ones @ "drop city", where you could buy to live in for 100 bucks yearly. Everyone would help each other out, and it’d be more like a camp campus, with a kitchen where everyone shared. and lived lifes where to give mean more than to take.

Also, do you know of any hippe communes, or communities that do exist today silghtly similar to my image of my ideal hippie community?
I guess similar to drop city but with more of a sense of community, dancing, singing, meditating, and friendships/free love, but not so farm-landish and distant?

Our company is switching from Starbucks to a local brewer whose coffee is so weak I cannot even taste it. I want to get a single serve machine to keep in my office. I don’t drink coffee every day, but when I do I want it to be tasty.

My last company has Keurig machines, and I never found a coffee that I liked. Any recommendations on other systems? Thanks.

I am 5′2", 110 lbs, 34 years old, and I eat healthy. I try to watch my carbs, and I really try hard to stay away from junk food. I woke up with a headache the other day, and my grandmother (who is diabetic) suggested to test my blood sugar. It was 127. Prior to the 127 reading, I had eaten a blueberry smoothy (from fresh blueberries, Greek yogurt, some vanilla soy milk and no sugar), but I did eat 3 taco shells (just the shells, not anything in it). I also had some organic coffee made from the Pinol grain (from Nicaragua).

After the 127 reading, I went home, had some mashed potatoes, okra, green beans, and a piece of fish. A few hours later, I had 10 saltine crackers and a glass of grapefruit juice. I took another reading about 1/2 after eating those food items, and it was a 140.

Mind you, my headache wasn’t bad, it was just a dull headache, I didn’t even take any pills for it or anything.

Before any of you comment, please be sure that I am making an appointment to see the doctor because I know he will give me the best advice, but I would like some intelligent input first. If you have something intelligent or helpful for me, please comment. I really appreciate it.

I used to make ice coffee all the time. I got this new Keurig coffee maker that all you need to do is put these tiny cups already packaged and ready to go in the machine and press brew and it does it for you. It makes good coffee. It does have a ice Coffee icon but I when I press it, it makes the coffee the same way but not as hot and not strong enough for ice coffee. Does anybody know how to make ice coffee using this machine?

Ok, I just read the book "Skinny Bitch." so now I’m all hyped up and ready to tackle this vegan thing. I was already a fairly healthy eater. Mostly lean chicken, salmon, and whitefish type stuff, but of course ate cheese, and milk, and eggs. Anyway, today was my first Vegan Day. I did great. No cravings really. Fruit for breakfast (I passed on my normal morning coffee!), beans and veggies for lunch, and whole wheat pasta, with sun-dried tomatoes olive oil and fresh garlic, and mixed veggies for dinner along with a Morningstar PizzaBurger and half of an organic wheat bun with some organic ketchup. How did I do? I need ideas. How are some of the non-dairy cheeses? Especially the parmesan-type stuff. I really missed that on my pasta tonight. I need some support here guys.
