An adjective describes a noun and an adverb describes a verb – verb is what you’re doing and the adverb is how you are doing it.
So if you have a dog (noun) that’s big (adjective) and it runs round a park (to run – verb) and it does this quickly (adverb)
Big dog runs quickly. I was told that most adverbs end in "ly".

1 less
