I drink iced coffee; 4 cups of brewed coffee mixed with 1/3 cup of non-dairy creamer and 2 cups cold water. I was going to put the grounds in an air-tight container and store them in the refrigerator to use for tomorrow’s pot.

It seems like a big waste to me to just throw them away. I don’t drink my coffee too strong so I don’t think there would be much difference in flavor if I reduce the water in the next pot.

I tried looking this up and no one ever suggests using the used grounds for food useage. One website even suggested that it was unsafe. What do you all think?
I really don’t believe the website about used grounds being dangerous. They’re kind of like leftover cooked veggies, which I keep in the fridge for a week before tossing and neither my husband nor I have ever gotten sick from those.

I’m not too concerned about the caffeine content either, one cup of pure coffee will have me going non-stop for the whole day.
