Can you show symptoms of food poisening in less than an hour?
Yesterday I started my day as usual. Made the kids some pancakes and bacon. They didn’t eat the bacon but I did. The bacon had been in the fridge in a sealed bag for about 8 days. Didn’t think about that before I cooked it. I then had some coffee with some half and half that I opened the day before. The sale by date is Oct 2007. I think it’s fine though my husband says it tastes nasty but not spoiled. Anyway, about an hour after breakfast I started getting dizzy and feeling queasy. After about two hours I was puking. By the third hour I couldn’t stand without heaving. I didn’t feel better until about 4:30 in the afternoon. Still a tiny bit dizzy and quesy, but much better than yesterday. Could it have been food poisening?

Maybe, especially if the bacon had been sitting out of the refrigerator for a significant amount of time.

A friend once had food poisoning, I think it involves temporary paralysis. Maybe your stomach retched the food because it was not in good condition anymore, but I wouldn’t say food poisoning.
Actually, a LOT of people (so far, everyone who’s answered you) totally misunderstand how food poisoning works.
The kind of vomiting you have described would NOT be caused by food you ingested less than an hour prior.
There are fast acting poisons that can make you vomit quickly, but these are chemical poisons, like if someone dumped pesticides on your food or something ot that effect.
Food spoilages take at least 2 hours to kick in with vomiting, but it’s more common to have them start 4 to 6 hours later. Given your time line? I’d say it’s not your breakfast.
What’s far more likely is something you ate the night before, or perhaps you caught a stomach virus from one of your kids.
Yeah, food poisoning can hit right away. My mom ate a bad salad at a restaurant (with mayo in it) and it made her sick immediately after she ate it. That’s a good thing because then it didn’t get a chance to invade her entire digestive system.
As far as food is concerned, if there is any doubt whether something is still safe to eat, DON’T eat it,
