I was getting asked a lot about my roast coffee bean chiller so I thought it would be a good idea to make a video and give folks a little more info. As you can see it cools the beans down very quick.
My first upload. It’s kinda boring. A rough, unedited video of the process of roasting raw, green coffee beans in a FreshRoast Plus 8 coffee roaster. I uploaded this just to show the progression of the roast and what I do…which is mostly sit and watch. If you’re thinking about home roasting, or if you’re just curious as to what happens, then this is for you. I purchased my roaster from Burman Coffee and I get my beans from Sweet Maria’s. Yay. I plan on adding notes and/or narration later….

I’ve recently moved to the Minneapolis area. One of the things I miss the most from my previous place of residence is the local coffee shop that roasted & sold their own beans. It was top notch coffee & much better priced than the commercialized shops. Is there anything like this in the Minneapolis area?

Went to add coffee beans to my grinder, when I noticed a "token" corn kernal mixed in with the beans. Makes me wonder what elase might be lurking amongst the beans … Is corn used in any step of the coffee roasting process?? Could roasters be adding corn kernels to cheat the buyers on the weight of the product??? Hmmm ..

Looking for a recommanded online coffee company to purchase roasted coffee beans from. Would prefer a company someone has done business with. I have had bad luck getting what I ordered with the 2 companies I have tried, and the coffee beans we can buy in our town are not fresh, and limited supply. Thanks in advance.
I was blessed with a coffee grinder & dark roast coffee beans. I LOVE strong coffee so I have been making it espresso but sometimes, it comes out so strong, it tastes too bitter to me. I like my coffee strong but not that bitter. Any suggestions on how to dilute the bitterness? I make 10 cups. How many coffee scoops might I try? I’ve been doing 2 1/2.
I’ve heard that chewing coffee beans can give you tons of energy, because they’re so concentrated, what I need to know is if this works, and whether or not to chew roasted/unroasted. Sometimes coffee in the morning just isn’t enough.
I’m looking for a contact that sells freshly roasted coffee beans. This means someone who actually roasts the beans upon order. I prefer local beans like in Batangas or Mountain Province areas.
Metro Manila sellers would be great! If not, sources outside Metro Manila would also be ok as long as they offer delivery. I’m looking for a contact that sells freshly roasted coffee beans. Metro Manila sellers would be great! (Please do not point me to Starbucks, Gloria Jean’s, etc. since the stuff on their shelves are definitely not roasted 24 hours ago.) If not, sources outside Metro Manila would also be ok as long as they offer delivery.

SUMMERDALE, Ala. — This community is no stranger to crops but coffee beans are something else. Yet, there are tons of Indonesian coffee beans right here just waiting to be roasted and turned into one of the four types of coffee that Tändük Coffee Co. makes available. (It’s pronounced Taan Dook.)
