Coffee beans or grinds stay fresher in the refrigerator or cold?
I was always under the impression that storing unused beans/grinds in the fridge served no purpose. I more recently bought a nice can of Lavazza and on their packaging it says to refrigerate after opening. Is this something i should consider as my goal is for maximum freshness?

In the fridge
in an air tight container
otherwise everything in
your fridge will smell of coffee!
no no no refrigerator or freezer it messes with the natural oils in the beans. happy brewing.
NEVER! There is never a good reason to put coffee in the fridge! Why? Well, when you put the coffee in the refrigerator, the beans cool (obviously) but moisture collects inside of the container, especially when you remove and replace the container into the fridge. This moisture negatively affects the flavor of the coffee. Also, the flavors of the other food in your fridge will impact the coffee flavor too. Beans should always be stored at room temp in a dark, dry, container, and used within 2 weeks of roasting.
