Does giving a gift card seem too impersonal?
This is going to be my first Christmas with my bf and I was thinking about getting him these things:
-A new wallet with a gift card to a restaurant and a pic of us inside
-A coffee mug with his fav sports team logo and flavored coffee creamers and maybe homemade cookies
We’ve been together for 7 months (9 in dec.) I remembered him telling me before that he liked these flavored coffee creamers that his mom buys sometimes so I was going to order gourmet ones online. But idk if the restuarant gift card is too impersonal…any thoughts? I don’t want him to think that I wasn’t thinking about him or I didn’t spend the time but idk what else to get him…
He’s also 19 btw and I’m 18

I do believe that giving a gift card to a boyfriend is impersonal. If it was to an aquaintance or a distant relative, then maybe a gift card would be appropriate. How would you feel if he got you a gift card?
I like the idea of a coffee mug. You can also get a mug with a picture of you or you and him on it. Several companies do this. Giving him flavored coffee and creamers show him that you listened to him and remembered that he liked it.

ok i love both! and its not too impersonal because its not like the only thing your giving him is a giftcard. if you do the wallet thing, make plans for the fancy restaurant and tell him when he gets the giftcard
if you’re gonna do the second one (i like this one better btw), maybe put a giftcard to his favorite store inside
