Does using cold water in a coffee maker lead to hotter coffee?
I have heard a rumor that in order to make the hottest coffee you must poor in very cold water. If you poor in room temperature water the coffee will in fact be cooler. This seems counter-intuitive to me but i have an elementary understanding of coffee makers at best.

Cold water maker better coffee. Read your manual that came with the maker. Keeping it clean also improves the flavor. The maker can only get to a certain degree rather you use cool or cold water.

The coffee machine is the one the regulates the temp of water… It will not release the water until it reaches boiling point… You should always use cold filter water for a better cup of coffee…
No, the real reasons you use cold water in a coffee maker is that there is a temp sensor in the brewer and if the water is too warm, the sensor won’t kick the brewing cycle on.
And you should always use cold water for cooking and brewing drinks because hot water can lay in the water heater and gather chemicals. Or the hot water is more likely to leech chemicals into the water.
