Hi,
I am 19 I just got my braces off in early May, had them on for about a year and a half. When my braces came off my teeth were perfectly white, no markings from the braces, and my wedding was shortly after so I took a lot of care in whitening my teeth with whitening stuff (toothpaste, listerine, whitening strips) and recently like .. within the last 3 weeks maybe, my two front teeth and all my front bottom teeth are turning yellow?
I am not brushing any less than I usually do or eating anything different than I usually did – if anything I am drinking a LOT less coffee than usual.
Any suggestions why this may be? Should I maybe go to the dentist?
I have used Crest White Strips several times in my life but with my permanent retainer the gunk gets stuck back there and the taste makes me sick – the peroxide always gets down my throat & I literally get sick.

I know – fast food is terrible for your health. Unfortunately, I have heavy cravings for it at NIGHT which is even worse. I’ll have Wendy’s BK, McDonald’s, you name it. I go to sleep STUFFED, it’s so nasty … I’m 19 and am about 5′4 ft and I weigh 160 lbs. My butt has less tone and is more jiggly, my arms are flabby & I’m devoloping little rolls on my back. My co-workers are telling me to eat cottage cheese and drink less coffee. But I wanna know – how can I stop the night cravings issue? how will I ever stop myself from having a delicious ice cold coke?

Bottom-line is that I have a lack of self-control & want to know from those who have had to do something similar – what kind of tactics or guidelines did you set for yourself to stop these terrible eating habits?

I tried a method of mixing water & baking soda to clean out my drip coffee maker…
Well it’s clean! :)
But it’s also clogged with baking soda! :(

I have to use at least twice as much granulated sugar as I used to for baking and sweetening my coffee & such.

I know it’s not just my taste buds because all store-bought items like Pepsi, Coke, Hershey’s bars, Hostess cakes and other such things taste just as sweet as they used to.

So what’s going on?

Are they adding some other, cheaper substance to the sugar to maximize profit?

Have they depleted the ground where they grow the sugar cane & beets?

Or what?

Everyone thinks I’m crazy.

I buy green coffee, roast it, and have 6 ways to brew it (Rancillio espresso, Bialetti moka pot, balance vac pot, French press, Chemex manual drip, and cold brew).

How far do you go for the perfect cup and what’s your favorite type of coffee (French press, vac pot, espresso, etc.)?

What’s the best / worst coffee you’ve ever had?

As far as french press, if you put enough coffee grounds in & let it steep for 4 minutes, it can be pretty strong. Also works great for tea.

Lil Gal: Auto drip coffee makers need thorough cleaning, but are hard to clean. Most other methods require very little cleaning (rinse with water & wipe). In fact, they often tell you they need a waste brew to coat the metal parts and improve the flavor. Never clean them in the dishwasher.

I have several questions about coffee for the Yahoo Answers Community could answer. This is a poll and information questions all in one.

1) Is there a right way to drink coffee? Is cream, milk, 1/2 & 1/2, etc bad?

2) If you have a French Press, Espresso Machine, Auto Drip Coffee Maker, or Instant Coffee; which would you use? And Why?

3) If you have a French Press, Auto Drip Coffee Maker, or Instant Coffee; Which do you use for a strong cup of coffee? And How?

4) If you have a big container of pre-grounded coffee or a small bag of whole coffee beans; Which do you use first? What do I do with the other? (All original packaging) What will air-tight containers do to coffee?

5) You have a espresso machine, pre-grounded coffee, and a coffee grinder; is it OK to fine grind the coffee and use it? Will it be better if I use coffee beans?

6) Ignoring cost, Which would you do? Brew your own coffee/espresso or Buy one at a coffee shop?

7) If you want to buy a cup of coffee/specialty drink (Iced or espresso, etc.) Where do you go: Coffee Shop or Fast Food Restaurant. Why?

4) Iced coffee, is it evil? Is there a right way to make it? (I put hot coffee over a cup full of ice.) Should I use espresso or strong coffee for it?

5) If I want to make my own espresso specialty drink (Cappuccino, Latte, etc) How much milk do I use to steam per shot?

6) Steam milk, What kind of milk should I use? Whole, 2%, 1%, Skim, or Half & Half? Can I use other kinds? (Ex: Soy, Rice)

Why Raw Tea Granules and Raw Coffee Powder Tastes Bitter & Unhealthy?

Is it because of harmful & narcotic drugs (nictotine, caffiene, etc.), acrylamide (most dangerous chemical on earth, higlhy cancer causing, neurotoxin and standard & potent mutagen – which can change your genes and make you diseased in the process ) in the tea and coffee?

Acrylamide is produced in many kind of foods including popcorns, biscuits, breads, bakery food, coffee, etc. which are roasted, baked and fried. Tea Leaves and Coffee Beans are also roasted/baked.

Should I hide all the probable answer to the question why tea and coffee are bitter before preparation.

I once ate a roasted coffee bean and it was so bitter that I have to spit out. I taste like a toxic charcoal.

Probably We all have some good observations in our mind which can make a difference in everybody’s life. Why Can’t I share it over a tea or a coffee with actually drinking these undrinakable drug cocktail?

I have a Krups 10 cup coffee maker with the water filter in it. I have bought Dunkin, Starbucks, etc. & still cannot get that full flavor like they do. I follow the directions on the bags as far as the ratio of grounds to water. I would love any hints or help. Thanks!

I brought a extra-large expresso, at Starbucks, but I did not supply the cup & I did not pour the expresso-coffee n the cup (I did not supply).

Later, I got a extreme case of caffeine withdrawal(s).

Is Starbucks libel(responsible) or is it my fault that I drank too much expresso?

(P.S.: if I get any answers, please be very very careful. The Tobacco Industry maybe, monitoring this question.)
