I am a 16 yr old girl and I have been trying to lose weight for the past 3-4 months now. I started off at 137 lbs (5′6"). For the past 3-4 months I have been eating better and am involved in softball monday- friday. I also do an intense workout for 45 minutes twice a week with my mom if I have time. Just today I was curious about what my weight was after my hard work and I was 140 lbs! I can’t believe this and I’m starting to get really discouraged.
I really want about 10-12 lbs off by summer and I don’t know how to do it. It’s really hard for me to find time to workout frequently with softball, but I try to do something any chance I get. Also for the beginning of lent I’ve cut out all meat.
Here’s an idea of my typical eating habits I have been doing EVERY day.
Breakfast: Healthy cereal w/ fruit and juice. ( About twice a week I get a coffee from starbucks)
Lunch: vegetable, fruit, crackers and cheese, granola bar.
Dinner: Soup (bean, lentil etc) or some sort of pasta with Bread and cooked vegetable, glass of organic milk
Snack after dinner: crackers ( wheat thins) and trail mix.
- I also occasionally go out to eat with my friends like go for pizza on wednesdays or go out to eat on a weekend. I almost never eat fast food though, and this doesn’t happen every week just once in a while.
P.S. I know this is lengthy but I really need help!!! Please offer solutions to my diet and excercise routine since this is not working. Please help, this is so depressing and I just don’t want to give up.
Thank you sooo much
Oh by the way, I know the description of my weight/ height seems perfectly normal and that I don’t need to lose weight which is probably why people are telling me I’m fine and don’t worry about it. However, I can barely squeeze into a size 5 these days and have some extra baggage on my belly. So I really do need some work. I’m not just an obsessive teenager who wants to be a stick, I promise.
