Coffee beans grow in a sort of cherry form.. with raw green beans or "seeds" inside. The membrane is first removed from the seed (usually done inwater) then sorted by size.(it is believed the bigger the bean, the more flavor)Following that they are laid out to be dryed.. (usually by the sun). It is then gathered and put in burlap bags (the beans must breathe as they are full of moisture. If the bean gets wet it will mold). then they are shipped all over the world and roasted.
