where should I go for chest pain help?
I’m not sure if I should go to the ER or find a cardiologist regarding my chest pain. I’m not even sure if it’s my heart or if it is related to some other gastro-intestinal problem and I don’t have a primary physician here. I’ve been having a dull pain in my chest on and off for the past several months. Sometimes the pain becomes sharp for a few minutes and then either goes away or becomes a dull pain. I went to the student health center at my University in November and was told to try not to stress about school and drink less coffee, but no tests were done. I have done both, but I’m still getting the chest pains, so I’m wondering if I should see another doctor. I was also given antacids, which have no effect. My question is, should I go to the ER or should I find some other sort of doctor in the area and make an appointment?

Go see a Cardiologist and let him know what’s up. the answers here will just get you killed.
I would go to the e r they can run tests and hook ya up with the right kind of dr you need.
If the pain is brought on by exertion it’s more concerning. I probably wouldn’t go to ER unless the pain was continuous. I would try to see a general physician and they may refer you to a cardiologist.
just go to any general doctor asap because you never know what it can be and now there’s so many diseases and so many things going on
Make another appointment to a different doctor.Try to not drink anything with caffeine! That can trigger it. Drink lots of water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just try out a local family doctor.
for pains that severe I would go to the emergency room
Go to the er if it is bothering you this much. They can tell you more about what to do in the future. As for now, if you do have a serious problem, be seen asap.
You may find that it is just anxiety, better safe than sorry.
a doctor.
I would get it checked out as soon as possible
go to the er immediately chest pains can be deadly
your mom.
hmmmm im not sure a doctor maybe, if it hurts bad go to er.
Well, it should honestly depend on how you feel. If you think it could possibly be somthing serious, go to the ER. If you feel that the pain is slight enough to deal with, call a doctor in your area and make an appointment asap. I have lots of experience with the ER being a person with bad lungs, and they have helped me get relief much faster than a regular doctor. If I were you, I would probably go to the ER, unless you seem to get some relief off of some medication. Since you have had it for several months, you best bet is the ER. Its best to be safe than sorry, you never know if it could turn out to be something serious.
hope you feel better soon!
When ever you have chest pains go to the ER ASAP
Since the chest pain has been going on for awhile and you are not having any shortness of breath then I say get an appointment with another doctor. Save the ER trip for real emergency. Don’t take that the wrong way. They may not check you like they should since its been going on for months.
I would go get it checked out as soon as possible by a doctor.
